Personal territory2-with other’s tour kit!

Here is Emma Linoliver’s tour kit. It looks really adorable, and I used this to find a really interesting tour today.

At first, I use this instruction to find the exact location of her personal territory. Where is near by the structure of King Alfred, and it is a empty space that around with four tall trees. I think I will keep the beautiful sunshine that I have saw today morning when I sit in the center of those four trees. The warm of the light from sun and the peaceful feeling were my favorite  part of this tour.

Than I start to read the otter instruction about how to knitting the sweater.

    

It really took me a long time to learn how to do this handiwork. Honestly, I am not good at doing this kind of object. But finally, I did it!

   So that  this is a photo of doing knitt!

I was really enjoy the tour that I went today. I think during our daily life, we are just so busy about what we are working on, and actually we do not have time to exactly sit on the ground and just do some adorable work. It is not only an assignment to me, but also is a chance for me to feel relax during my occupied life.

Today is a windy day, but I went to explore in my territory…

I chose a bench that under a maple tree as my territory, and the topic I want to do is “people watching”(explore#22) . I sit on the bench for an hour in the afternoon, to watch people walking pass the opposite road. I watched people’s appearance, and thought about what they were thinking about, or why they were so hurry on their way…

As I said, today was really cold, so that there were not that much people walking outside, the sound of cars came and went again and again. I took a bunch of people walking passed the street in front of me. Some people walked out of my sight and never came back, but some others still went back, but finally they all disappear from the road opposit to me. Some of them walked in a hurry, some others watched the scenery while they were walking. I think I almost found that everyone has their happiness and sadness, we are all like a same person actually,  except the different character and appearance.

       

The hight between the leaves to the bench is just my height.

The reason that I chose this position is because there is a maple on the top of the bench. It is like a shelter of a empty space. Personally, I always like the bench under a shelter, whatever the shelter is.

A display in foundation

This is my first display in the foundation B Block! And my partner is Sarah. The process that we made our display is really interesting but also exhausted, but we still having fun about this subject.

Sarah and I went to Alfred stated University to find some interesting clues for our show, and the topic we are going to work on is a word: giving.  So that we walked though the campus and find some people to ask, if they have a story about giving. But so many people just said: “Sorry, I don’t have any stories about this.” However, fortunately, we find a short story for our topic, it is from a old lady and the story that she told us is : “I gave my daughter a leaf the other day. It was so beautify and cost nothing.”

And than I become realize that leaves around us on the ground are so beautiful and easy to be gotten. So that we using leaves as our object. Also, to make our display has more interaction, we picked up lost of leaves and flowers on the ground, and just made some little bouquets and than put them in a box. So that people can feel free to take some leaves or flowers from our display.

The main part of our display are the pictures that we took for the people who are giving others these small beautiful object : leaves. I took lots of pictures about “Giving leaves” from others. Also, Sarah putted some different plant in some small glass bottles. We want people to see that the plants that we almost ignored everyday are really worth they and us to appreciate how vivid they could be.

Finally, I think the point that we want people to feel from our work is just a really simple act and feeling from this world. I want people could realize how beautiful our world is, and even from every small spots and every angle, if you want you could easily found the imperceptible attractive changes and how adorably this world is.
